Thinking About Starting a School Preparedness Program?
The State of Connecticut and many schools in our Region have implemented the Student Tools for Emergency Planning (STEP) Program to better prepare our children and their families for severe weather and other disasters. The beauty of STEP is that it is designed by teachers, is well tested, has been proven successful, costs nothing, and is simple to implement.
We encourage you to view the STEP web site to learn more about the program.
Implement STEP at Your School
The Connecticut Division of Emergency Management and Homeland Security has purchased kits for schools desiring to implement STEP.
